I want to know Christ and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to Him in His death, — Philippians 3:10

Paul counts knowing Christ in His sufferings as gain—not because suffering is pleasant, but because it unites us to Jesus. The servant is not greater than his Lord, and we share in His rejection as we share in His glory. Looking to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, we endure the cross for the joy set before us.
