‘He will wipe away every tear from their eyes,’ and there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the former things have passed away.” — Revelation 21:4

This is the promise that makes every other promise meaningful. He will swallow up death forever, and the last enemy falls. No more mourning, no more pain—the former things have passed away. We do not just hope for a better life; we hope for a new creation where God Himself dwells with us. Until that day, we look not at what is seen but at what is unseen.
