The Junk Fee Prevention Act could change the way concert tickets are sold by reducing added fees that inflate ticket prices. This legislation would require companies to “clearly and conspicuously” display the total price of a ticket with all fees included. Violators could be punishes by the Federal Trade Commission or Attorneys General in individual states.
The Flint Water Crisis settlement has been formally approved by a judge and residents are one step closer to receiving compensation. The $626 million agreement with the State of Michigan, the City of Flint, and others approved Monday. Eighty percent of the money would go to people who were minors when exposed to contaminated water in Flint, while another 18% would go to adult claims and property damage claims.
