As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead. — James 2:26

Not everyone who says "Lord, Lord" will enter the kingdom, and without holiness no one will see the Lord. But don't flip the order: works don't produce faith, faith produces works. Peter tells us to add virtue, knowledge, and self-control to our faith — it all flows from grace.
