In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in various trials — 1 Peter 1:6

Peter says that for a season, if need be, we're grieved by various trials. Notice those two words: 'if need be.' your trials aren't random. They're measured, timed, and permitted by a loving Father. Hebrews says no discipline seems joyful at the time, but it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness. And here's the best part: we have a high priest who was tempted in every way as we are, yet without sin. He sympathizes, he helps, and he promises that the trial won't exceed what you can bear.
