On the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood up and called out in a loud voice, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. — John 7:37

If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink—that's Jesus' invitation to every thirsty soul, not the self-sufficient or the full, but the thirsty, like the deer pants for water. He doesn't say 'clean yourself up first'; he says come, buy without money. The water he gives becomes a spring inside you that never runs dry, and his flesh is food his blood is drink indeed—so come, drink deeply, and be satisfied.
