Every step sounds firm, as the crushed gravel absorbs the soles of the shoes into the ground. The sky is clear, the sun’s rays are glowing through the branches of the trees. The wind sweeps through briskly and disturbs the leaves left over from fall. Birds are chirping cheerfully, a woodpecker is chipping away at a nearby tree. The sun reflects off the pond where turtles bask on fallen branches, and raised roots. Elmer Oliver Nature Park “Roamings End” It was officially opened January 2014, the park is named after the original family member that owned the land.
