When we encounter a holy God, our first response is often to hide our face. There are many reasons why. But ultimately, it is because we recognize the holiness of God in the encounter which makes us shrink from Him. But in today's episode, we see God's willingness to engage Moses in an effort to reconnect him to his covenant community. This must happen before great exploits can be achieved.
