Despite Moses’ weaknesses, God was able to use him to do mighty things. Eventually, Moses died and a new generation was going to have to be in place to pick up the mantel and move forward. It was God’s choice to raise up Joshua to be the next leader for Israel. Moses helped prepare Joshua for this calling by telling him three things:

Keep God’s word fresh in you

The presence of God is where you hear from God
