Although these lights are claimed to repel mosquitos (some listing even claim that they kill them) in reality they are just a wavelength of light that normal light following insects are less attracted too.

Mosquitos tend to home in on chemical aromas and the CO2 in exhaled breath.

On a plus note they are a really nice shade of apple green.
