Prince, Beyoncé, Rufus Wainwright…. While all singular artists, they all have at least one thing in common. That one thing is that all of them, and really any artist you hear, was influenced by someone else. Prince was influenced by Stevie Wonder…. Beyoncé was influenced by Diana Ross and….Rufus Wainwright was influenced by Judy Garland….Without these influences, maybe these iconic artists wouldn’t be who they are today. Now, these influences haven’t defined them as artists, but have rather provided a foundation for them to explore their own particular artistic offerings to the world and have thus influenced countless artists that came after them.
