On this segment of Surviving to Thriving, I turned toward my mother for her thoughts on the matter.
My mother is the oldest of nine children. She is a devoted believer and follower of Jesus Christ. A mighty prayer warrior and a retired nurse.
Now let me prepare you in advance. You will not hear “woe is me.” She is without any doubt “the glass is half full” kind of lady. Even in the worst of circumstances she will always find the silver lining.
We began our discussion on her perspective on life, as she was growing up in the early 50’s and 60’s. As tough as it was, she saw life from a different lens than one would expect to hear.
