It is an off Monday and as promise a short episode! I am reciting a poem, Fear vs. Fantasy. I wrote this poem several years ago, it was during the time of Mike Brown's murder (by a police officer). Mike Brown was a teenager, gearing up to go to college that Fall. Riots incited due to the lack of accountability from the PD and judicial system in Ferguson, Missouri. After watching the story, I looked at my beautiful child, fear, anger, and anxiety crept in.  Poetry being my survival mechanism. I went to my kitchen table with my journal and pen and wrote, I went into survival mode. Sadly, a mode many mother's experience.
