THE DEVELOPMENT AND LEGACY OF A GODLY WOMAN

è She hears the voice of the Lord

• She didn’t flee. She listened more intently. (Even though this was her world changer!) (Luke 1:28; Luke 1:29, 30)

è She faces and overcomes fear

• Fear of the unknown (the “what ifs”)

• Fear of negative opinions of others (Luke 1:31,34)

• Fear of inadequacy of performance

• Luke 1:35, 37

• Her responsibility was to trust and obey, not to order and orchestrate.

è She trusts God and takes the next right step! (Luke 1:38) Confirmation and affirmation

è She treasures the relationship of other Godly women. (Luke 1:36, 39-45)

è She works through a broken heart. (Luke 2:35)

è The Lord develops a legacy for her! She is willing partner for her Lord to tell His story through her journey. (Luke 1:45, 46-49)

A spiritual mother is a seasoned woman of faith who knows the Lord intimately and will listen, pray, encourage, and share her insights with those who seek her.

She may or may not be a teacher, structured counselor, mentor, etc.
