The book of Proverbs is a treasure of priceless wisdom. God himself has made sure that his people would not be without the wisdom necessary to cope with the many difficulties in our fallen world. Proverbs is God's gift of wisdom to help us and to bring encouragement to us as well.

Proverbs ends by highlighting women of noble character. Women of noble character happen to be our mothers. "Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised" (Proverbs 31:30). The fear of the LORD is evident in a life of reverence, obedience and respect shown to God. This godly fear will then be reflected and represented for all to see. And all will benefit as well. May we honor and show our respect for our mothers who have given their lives for the benefit of their loved-ones. Happy Mother's Day.
