I saw Michael yesterday in Ballarat.
He arrived later than planned & I had to get going soon afterwards.
It was great to be able to get to chat with him before the crowd started to arrive.
He mentioned about this audio recording of a distraught mum's story about her poor daugheter's still births.
Michael's perseverance is commendable. There are so many people who want to share their stories.
It is a form of public square. People started to trickle in. Wonderful people. Caring people.
One lady said that they hand wrote 200 invites to a public meeting. Giving each Doctor's clinic an invitation, hand delivered, to see if they would attend a public discourse.
She said that only 1 doctor showed up. Just 1.
Another doctor was going to speak but declined last minute - fearful of receiving backlash.
That's the level of self-censorship that we have in our "free speech" society.
