Here is your inspiring track for the weekend. Listen carefully and take notes; this will change your life if you allow it to do so.
Some Mental Fitness
Post-workout is a great time to take in information and absorb education. This is simple, sweet, and to the point. Whether you don’t workout, you’re lazy and feel guilty about it, or if you workout and you’re tired and sore, both of those things are hard. Choose your hard.
Apply Curiosity
Life is flying by whether you like it or not. It’s time for you to gain some perspective. Thoughts become words, words become behaviors, and actions that then drive new thoughts. It’s cyclical. I want you to apply some quality assurance to your thoughts.
Stop. Apply curiosity - quality assurance. Then act. Your freedom is being imprisoned by your lack of curiosity.
Stop Defining Yourself By Your Past
Align your behavior with your goals. But, don’t dwell on the mishaps. You might not always get exactly what you want but your effort will keep you progressing.
I’ve been there. I’ve eaten way too many donuts. I’ve made mistakes. But I am not going to define myself by those mistakes. It’s how you respond to your mistakes that matter and make you the person you strive to be.
Temptation is Everywhere
With life slowly starting to open back up, temptation is around every corner. Indulgence is great every once in a while but you must apply yourself. You can’t give in to temptation each and every day.
False hunger cues trigger you to eat. You may be thirsty, but you’re definitely not hungry. It’s a matter of language. Divert your attention and break your patterns. Temptation will cease.
Break the pattern with a walk, a phone call, 10 jumping jacks, go throw in some laundry or pick-up a book. Find a strategy that works for you so that you can take small steps towards your north star, your goals, your purpose each and every day.
