You listen to David Goggins, he'll say things like motivation is sh*t. And I don't necessarily disagree with that. Motivation is fleeting. It really is. We look at and we wanna be motivated. But really what we mean is we wanna be, we wanna develop discipline. And so motivation versus discipline, like where are you at in your life? Do you have to be motivated? Does somebody have to like, get your fire burning every day? You know, I'll listen to, Ryan Stewman as a daily podcast, the Rewire podcast, it's got some inspiration, it's got some motivation. It also has some real talk. Get your mind, right. Get your head right. And that's really what you need to be doing on a daily basis. You don't need a rah-rah. You know you don't, you don't need to walk in to, listen to a head coach, tell you, you're gonna win this game and get everybody pumped up and ready to run there, you know, run their head through a wall. What you need is you need the ability on a daily basis to know, okay, I'm gonna take this day, and now I'm gonna kick this day's and here's how I'm gonna kick this day *ss. And that's discipline, that's not motivation. We all love the motivation. We all love going to events that get us pumped, that get us psyched up, and get us jazzed up. But at the end of the day, the discipline is what's going to win out. Discipline is what's going to give you success. Discipline is what's gonna give you long-term results. The motivation is David Goggins will say sh*t. Motivation is fleeting. Motivation gets you started. Motivation is the match that lights the fire but keeping the fire burning takes discipline. If you build a fire, you're building it in a way to try to keep that fire burning. The motivation is the match that lights it, and then you stoking it and putting logs on is the discipline. So what do you have to do in your life to change from being motivated to do something, to being disciplined, to do something? We all have those areas. We all have them. We all have the area where we need to be kicked in the *ss, where we need to be kickstarted, where we need to be focused. But no one, no one is gonna get you more focused than yourself. Understand what your goal is, understand what the result that you want to achieve is, and then how do I go get it? If you think about it on a daily basis, you break down the activity, you need to perform on a daily basis. You're gonna get closer to your goal every single day. And after 30 days, you're a lot closer than you are than you were 30 days before. After 90 days, you're a lot closer than you were 90 days ago. And that's how discipline works. Doing the same thing every day to achieve a result. Do you need motivation in your life or do you need discipline? Odds are you need discipline. And if you develop disciplines that will help you be successful. You'll DMN8 the day!
