In this special Christmas week Motivational Monday, we're diving deep into the most valuable gift you can give this holiday season—and it won't cost you a single penny. Today, we're exploring the gift of LOVE, the power of sowing seeds without attachment to outcomes, and what happened when I lied about having cash, heard a comment that cut to my core, and had to decide what kind of man I wanted to be.
This isn't just about holiday giving—it's about US, our testimonies, and how showing up for people in pain might be exactly what saves their life. I'm sharing a vulnerable story from 10-15 years ago about two homeless ladies, a child, $20, and the moment I learned to close my eyes and free my heart to give without controlling what happens next. Sometimes God tests us to see if we can release what He gave us, trusting Him with the results. That's real faith. That's real generosity.
Remember that your time is more valuable than your money? We're talking about visiting seniors, coaching kids, documenting lives through photos and videos, and understanding that your testimony—your PAIN—might be someone else's survival guide through their darkest moment. When you sow seeds, you're not trying to grow every single one. You're planting abundantly, knowing that one day, YOUR plant will grow. That's the promise I'm holding onto, and I want you to hold onto it too.
If you're feeling alone this Christmas week, hear me clearly: you are NOT alone. God is with you always, and somebody over here at Cousin Ed's Corner loves you deeply, authentically, and unconditionally. This Corner is all about us, for us, and we're building a community where everybody feels seen, valued, and loved.
