Mountain Leadership - Lessons from Nature

Listen Later

Leadership starts with self-leadership and Nature has some very powerful lessons to teach us here.  And where better to reconnect with yourself and Nature than in the Mountains?

In this episode we are talking with Gerdi Verwoert of Dare Greatly Coaching. Gerdi is a Dutch mountain leader based in the Austrian Alps. She believes that creating a better world starts with self-leadership and reconnecting with nature.

  • Mountains force us to confront our own humanity, discover what we are truly capable of and literally discover a new perspective.
  • Saving the planet depends on us understanding that we are all part of nature, and not separate from her.
  • When we decide to overcome our fears and perceived physical limitations, we can experience true joy and elation.
  • Where we are born, is not necessarily our home.  When we have the courage to follow our instincts, intuition and flow, we can literally change our world.
