When Cutter Morning Star head football coach Matt Kinsinger made the decision last spring to make the switch to eight-man football, he was not sure how that decision would translate onto the field. He began to look into the sport at the end of last season because he had a large senior class graduating and did not have enough players moving up to be able to complete the 11-man football season. While the Eagles were not as successful as they might have hoped, they did win two games — one more than last season — and they were a touchdown or less from winning two more games, which could have propelled them into the playoffs this season.
