John Corey started out in the technology sector in Silicon Valley. After sharing a house with some others, he decided to buy a house and advertise for sharers. John was 24 at the time. Adam set up generation-rent.com because he was frustrated as a renter, born into a generation that simply didnt have a chance on the property ladder. He felt the term generation rent was being hijacked by buy to let mortgage companies and letting agents to sell his generation as a cash cow, and wanted to take the term back for the people whom it applied to.
