Athletes who are serious with what they are doing make it a priority to do what their coach tells them to do. When and how to exercise, what to eat, sleep well and so on. As we follow God as our Lord, so we too should make it a priority to do what He tells us to do. We need to take purposeful actions if we intend to follow Him seriously and with conviction. 

How wonderful that God makes it part of our fellowship to literally do things together, for the mutual benefit of everyone. Let God nudge and lead you to take action for Him. It will certainly bless you and will also be a benefit to many others.
