This is one of those movies where the title seems to be trying to misdirect you. The Strange Love of Martha Ivers. Sure; there is a woman named Martha Ivers in this movie, and there are a lot of strange things about her – but there’s nothing even remotely resembling love.

… maybe that’s the strange thing? That she cannot seem to love?
