Today we break down two television shows that cover the same topic but in drastically different ways, Atlanta (2016) created by Donald Glover and Dave (2020) created by Dave Burd. The basic premise of these two shows are fairly similar as they both follow a misguided protagonist in their twenty's- Earn in Atlanta and Dave in Dave, who are trying to break into the hip hop industry. The similarities end there. While Dave and Earn have the same goal, Dave is operating from a place of privilege while Earn is operating from a place of poverty.
