If you google what democracy means, here is one of the top results "The definition of democracy is a form of government in which the common people hold political power and can rule either directly or through elected representatives. An example of democracy at work is in the United States, where people have political freedom and equality." Indeed we have political freedom, we have the right to elect officials that benefits our community. However, the problem is we have only two parties to choose from to elect. Based on Gallup polls surveys in 2021, 68 % of Americans supports that we need a third party. It is a dramatic increase from what the Gallup organization showed us in 2018, that 58% of Americans need a third party. In our episode today, you will learn the importance of a fulcrum party that will serve as a balance to political extremism.
