Roland and his siblings lost their Mom to Covid 19 in early 2020. Unable to be with her at the hospital or to even understand what she was going through, they had to navigate their grief amidst a global pandemic when all they could do was sit at home.  A short 5 months later their Dad passed away unexpectedly from a heart issue. Over a year later, they have still not been able to bury their Mom because she passed away in the Philippines and they have not been able to travel there.
