When Krista was only 8 years old her father was brutally murdered in the Hollywood Hills. Following the murder,  close family members profited from his death and were even considered suspects at one time.  This unsolved crime and unresolved conflict has caused a lot of upheaval in her family's dynamic, leaving Krista in search of home and a place where she belongs.
