In this episode, we pop by Peasholm Park in Scarborough on a visit with family and friends. When I was growing up, we'd regularly visit the park in the summer, which was especially exciting in the evening when you could take the bridge over to the Tree Walk Island. The path would be lit up with dangling lantern lights and included fascinating attractions like the amazing display cabinets with invisible fleas that would make the miniature trampolines and trapeze swings magically move!
More historical information and photographs of the park can be found at the Peasholm Park Friends website here: https://www.peasholmpark.com/?fbclid=IwY2xjawUx_QRleHRuA2FlbQIxMABwZG9mBWJyaWQRMVVXQU1DRzZjcG5MUUxJdXdzcnRjBmFwcF9pZBAyMjIwMzkxNzg4MjAwODkyAAEedGnfD8NUHJxuRyHSeaSujT4fvgd5XGUcFCbSyLBGOTViTXyO62zPGg3N9KQ_aem_xXiRc_hmoCGpCV90PwT20A.

In this episode we take a wander through the wonderful community garden run by Campy Growers at Camperdown Park, Dundee. My Dad and I spend some time with my daughter, Phoebe, who shares with us the many things they've learned and benefitted from while volunteering in the garden during the past year. My Dad also shares with us some garden adventures in Glasgow from many years ago!
Green spaces are such and invaluable resource and a key ingredient of building communities and a more sustainable future.

For today's podcast I take a seaside stroll along the seafront of Scarborough's South Bay. I admire the views, share some local spots of interest along the way and finish up just above the open air Spa Theatre (https://www.scarboroughspa.co.uk/) at the Clock Cafe--which has one of the best views along the coast (and do great lunches too!).
You can find out more information about the Big Ideas By The Sea events taking place in Scarborough at https://bigideasbythesea.com/festival/.
Hope you get to enjoy a sunny walk along with me!
Enjoy a sunny stroll with us along part of the Dinosaur Coast at the gorgeous North Yorkshire village of Robin Hood's Bay.
