Dan Brown is a lifelong creative, and former communications coordinator and graphic designer for a big city government's museums in the Vancouver area for 20+ years. She retired in 2017 to move to the Okanagan region of British Columbia (think wine, lakes and orchards!) with her husband and daughter. Not content to retire, she wanted to start a graphic design business drawing on her love of all things vintage/heritage, but went to work part time for her local yarn store instead. When the pandemic hit I saw the livelihoods of this region's multitude of artisans, makers, fibre artists, and micro-businesses hit the floor. That spurred me into action, and I started Vintage Creative Works in June. I provide graphic design, writing and social media coaching services for this community, and more importantly, inspiration and support. As a way to connect with her long time friend she is working on the Fabulous Boomer Sisters and a blog is forthcoming. (update with more information when available).
