The Altered Church and the Changed Church
persecution that arose over Stephen traveled as far as Phoenicia and Cyprus and Antioch, speaking the word to no one except Jews. But there were some of them, men of Cyprus and Cyrene, who on coming to Antioch spoke to the Hellenists also, preaching the Lord Jesus. And the hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number who believed turned to the Lord. (19~21)
The Jewish people changed the Gospel into their national, Messianic, and religious legalism ideologies. The members of the Early Church found it very problematic when Peter went to the house of a Gentile, Cornelius.Acts 11:1~18 The Roman church knelt before success; the medieval church knelt before politics; and the modern church knelt before materialism. God desires a changed church, not an altered one. Then what kind of church is the changed church?
1.Faith That Saves the WorldA Correct Confession
You must discard incorrect confessions and confess “only Christ.”Matthew 16:13~20 Although people of God appear to be scattered, they are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, and a holy nation.1 Peter 2:9 Paul confessed that Christ was the greatest knowledge,Philippians 3:8 the greatest answer,Philippians3:9 greatest plan,Philippians 3:12 the greatest reward,Philippians 3:14
and the greatest backgroundPhilippians 3:20 of his life.
2.EvangelismA Correct Confirmation and PowerA Correct Change
That Save the WorldCorrect evangelism overcomes the power of darkness;
Matthew 28:16-20 healing is accomplished through the power of the heavenly throne;Mark 16:1~20 and Christ, God’s Kingdom, and “only Holy Spirit” are confirmed.Acts 1:1~11 The power of Mark’s upper room must arise for correct change to take place that will save the world.Acts 2:1~47 It is a power that overcomes persecution and unlawfulnessActs 11:19~30 and makes Satan kneel.Romans 16:17~20 and 25~27
You must first live in order to save others. The strength to overcome your difficult environment comes from scheduled prayer. The power to save your field is the prayer of “24 hours.” By doing so, you will experience the works of “25 hours” that enjoy the strength of the heavenly throne.
