In this episode, our host, Dr. Katie Ehlman, invites guest speaker, Ms. Sheila Huff, to the bOLDer People studio. Ms. Huff has been with the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation (EVSC) for over 46 years and has worn many hats as a health teacher, coach, assistant principal, and principal. Ms. Huff currently serves as the Director of Strategic Engagement at EVSC.  In this role, she is an advocate for both students and staff to create positive change in local schools. Ms. Huff says she has loved every minute of her journey and if asked to put her sweatsuit and tennis shoes back on for coaching, she would. Dr. Ehlman explores several topics with Ms. Huff such as:  

• Building perseverance in young people and Ms. Huff’s mantra of finishing the race  
• Creating a level playing field in education with equitable and inclusive practices 
• Women’s Equality Day and helping women recognize their expertise and potential in leadership positions
