FEM students can describe the program as having a global perspective, having an emphasis on ecology and sustainability and often teaching outside the realm of forestry.

Students have a variety of plans for their lives post FEM; from working in their home countries, planning a Ph.D, working in Freiburg or international environmental work, these answers give you a glimpse as to what doors are open for graduating FEM students.

Along with exclamations of “buy a bike!”, “bring a dictionary!”, students also emphasize that one should keep an open mind, be enthusiastic about the international atmosphere, and to be ready for self-learning. However, they have other valuable advice.
