It’s a new year and why not kick things off with something a little different. If you're not familiar with MSCHF, it’s an app that does “drops” of limited-run…things. Think of it as part art, part commerce.
Not too long ago they dropped a line of potato chips with flavored that attempt to replicate “illegal foods.” None of the potato chips I’m reviewing this week are made with the flavor on the bag because, well, that would be illegal. And, to be honest, I wouldn’t try if they were (well, maybe the Fugu).
The first one up is Casu Marzu, which is a Pecorino cheese from Sardinia. Sounds innocent enough, right? Oh, I forgot to mention that the cheese, which is also illegal in Sardinia itself, has live maggots in it. Yeah.
