"Now, if I have a server whose service isn't good due to circumstances beyond their control, like the kitchen messed up my food, or the kitchen is slow and it's taking a long time for us to get our food, or they're short staffed and my waiter or waitress is having to wait on more tables than they should because they don't have enough help, things that are beyond their control is one thing, but when it comes down to people just not caring, people not really caring about the service they provide because they feel like you're going to tip them anyway, I don't think that automatic gratuities should be added into large parties."
