Today I’m reading from Psalm chapter 91 verses 3 and 4, “Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge.” Another day, another shooting, another vehicle driving into a crowd, another senseless act of violence. It seems that what used to be a common occurrence in other places is now beginning to happen much closer to home.

As believers in Jesus Christ, we are promised a refuge from the lawlessness and fear wanting now to flood into our daily lives. That refuge is in Him, as we let His words and comfort fill our minds and fill our hearts. In fact, He promises peace-perfect peace-when our thoughts are established by His words to us.
