Much More Than Passion Spent.
To lie in the stillness of the night,
and simply share each others breath,
in a close and scented proximity,
peace in knowing that they're there,
Spooned together while you're dreaming,
warm as toast above the springs,
interlocked much like a puzzle,
back to front and butt to groin.
To hear the whisper of good morning,
the loving kiss that means goodnight,
while the moon is softly beaming,
radiant light on two snugged tight.
Beds are lonely when they're empty,
on one side, that gap is massive,
balance comes when two are sharing,
dreams and blankets, love that's passive
It's not all about the joining,
of his flesh to hers, there's more,
that keeps life from dissapointing,
precious moments I adore.
Spend some time just in her presence,
making small talk, sharing things,
back rubs, laughter, daily memories,
are the joys intimacy brings
