Welcome back to episode #4 of the Dr. Tracy Townsend podcast, where we explore medicine in all its forms, from the science to the sacred, and where media becomes medicine.
My guest today is Satya Lights, who is a dear sister of mine, a friend that I crossed paths with several years ago when I was in training in Los Angeles. Satya is a Multidisciplinary Healer, Poet, Coach, and Mentor who masterfully wields a wide range of tools and practices that facilitate healing on both the individual and collective levels. She weaves together many different modalities in her holistic practice, including hypnotherapy and the ceremonial medicine known as kambo.
In this episode, Satya and I dive into:
- her first journeys with psychedelics
- curiosity being a guide throughout her path
- her daily practices and how flexibility has become a virtue
- her training to become a kambo practitioner
- kambo as a medicine for life's transitions
- water fasts as a spiritual practice
Books and resources:
- The Transformational Power of Fasting by Stephen Harrod Buhne
- Learn more about kambo here: https://thethirdwave.co/psychedelics/kambo/
