  • Episode 20 - End of year reflection 20 episodes for 2022
Come with me as I briefly and concisely wrap up the year! Yes, I said concisely because I was able to get my thoughts out in under 20 minutes, y’all. Look. at. the. growth. I will continue to grow the podcast and remember to post episodes. My goal for this is dropping an episode every two weeks. I also want to get really active on my social media. Happy holidays and new year!!

  • Episode 17 - URGENT MESSAGE for Neurodivergent & ND lovers
This is literally my initial reaction to this not-so-news. I also feel that I need more because I believe more but that’s another convo for another podcast episode. Take this as me being vulnerable and also I struggle with how much I can allow y’all to know so I hope this is welcomed. Once I told my close friends and family — we all kind of blinked at each other with zero shock and then laughed because joy. Identity work is a journey and mine was destined here in this moment. Please be respectful of those who are different thinkers and extend grace to those who don’t fully understand just yet as a neurotypical.

  • Episode 16 - Multilingualism is both the work & the goal
I need y’all to know whether I’m in a classroom, edtech, content specific role, school leadership, higher Ed, any room periodt — I’m first foremost an advocate for multilingual education, the benefits of having multiple languages in education and my Black & Brown multilingual scholars. Linguistic diversity is my jam and honestly as a topic that I’m pulling apart for my dissertation— please stop telling kids “that’s not a word” “your accent is hard to understand” “that’s not how you say that” “kids need to speak English” — nah y’all just needed to learn another language and/or a variant of these languages and it shows (bless ya heart)

  • Episode 15: Imagination
Let’s talk about business plans and the creation of ideas, y’all! I held myself accountable for not being consistent as I need to be. I also talk big picture ideas that I have of the future. Man, I am tired so excuse me! I want y’all to know I’m working slowly but surely on this. I can’t wait for next semester to start the writing process for my dissertation and ya girl doing it in 4 years as projected 💚

  • Episode 14 - Prayers go up
This wasn’t part of the plan — but it’s needed. I was struggling after the school shooting in Texas about how to process and the fact that I was out there for work, it was kids around my daughter’s age only magnified the response for me. It’s so painful to be in education and seeing the human experience. The turn of events during this pandemic is unbearable. This one was more of me being completely unscripted and vulnerable.

  • Episode 13 - My Hair/My Intellect
I’m back from vacation from Jamaica — this was created wayyyy before that! My cognitive dysfunction is showing or I just needed a break. This episode talks about hair! This is a segment that is near and dear to my heart because I feel that how I wear my hair is how I’ve felt and identified. Through locing my daughters hair with my prima hermana and cutting all of my own hair I’ve learned to love the process, the progress and when you love yourself within the hair on the outside feels good and exuded that energy. I hope y’all enjoy these thought!! Always remember to recommend the podcast and send your feedback (always open to all of it)
