Harry and Megan Tooze lived on a remote farm in the Vale of Glamorgan and enjoyed a quiet, private retirement. But one day in the summer of 1993, that life was shattered as both were killed in what was described as a "brutal, macabre execution".

When the knock at the door came shortly after midnight, Carol & Keith Slater initially tried to ignore the noise, assuming it was just kids messing around or maybe someone at the wrong address. 



But as the knocking continued, Carol told Keith he should pop down and see who was at the door in case it was related to their two young children who were staying with Grandparents that night. It might be the police, maybe there had been an accident.



Minutes later, Keith was dead - at just 33 years old - and so many lives changed forever.

The Late Night Visitor: Episode 387

It was late - almost midnight - by a quarry near the forest.



The police had arrived as a car had been reported for driving in an erratic manner. The woman was clearly very uncomfortable and didn't want the officers to look inside the two suitcases.



The bodycam is startling as an officer opens one of the bags. There is an audible sharp exhale of breath when what he is looking at hits home. The officer says in both horror and astonishment: "What the f***."

The Neighbour: Episode 386

Lauren Jeska was a fell runner.



As a transgender athlete, she had been asked to provide evidence of hormone levels after historical complaints to UK Athletics that she had an unfair advantage competing in women’s events because she had been born a man. 



The policy of the governing body required the athlete to take a blood test, but she took exception to this and feared being unable to compete. 



Lauren saw this as an attack on her life and decided to take drastic action.

A Disturbing Fantasy: Episode 384

But when market conditions took a turn for the worse, he was soon in massive debt and his life was spiralling out of control. He needed urgent results before he lost everything.
