A fictional sketch for a short story...people are dieing, activists are keeling over or vanishing, is something going on here?

It is a dark murder mystery which is really a metaphor for the history, neighborhood that was the East Village, Lower East Side and Bowery. I based it on the stunning black and white film “Laura” but I have some bad news, she really is dead. There is also a NYPD hire, a retired billionaire Silicon Valley techno whiz kid who forms a special NYPD techno-task force. He is paid a dollar a year! I wanted to take a swipe at this new fade of mega billionaires and mega millionaires that turn to a yearly government salary of a dollar!

It is just a sketch -- a way to mourn and grieve and it I don’t have to clean my paint brushes. I want to make you think and feel and look at this city -- please come visit and take a good look at the new New York.

note: my brain feels dead tired and I stumble so reading this blurb before listening is important...For instance at the end I question whether her body will be found...will it turn up because of a massive -- mega infrastructure break or the NYPD techno-task force....I forgot a verbal comma and I never use the term techno-task force....I am having some techno fatigue and difficulty so please take it for what it is and I hope you get something out of it.
