This week's playlist:

Mary Ann by EB Davis & The Superband, from Live at Yorckschlossen, Berlin (2000). EB sells his own CDs through his online store. You can also learn more at his MySpace page, and at EB Davis.com.

Lafayette Cajun by Blue Stew, from Headed South (2005). All four of Blue Stew's albums are available on CD from CD Baby. Also available from Amazon.com, are their albums Stumbling Blocks and Stepping Stones (January 2000), and Destination: The Blues (November 2000). Headed South is also available from Silk City Records. All tracks from all Blue Stew albums are available as individual digital downloads for 99 cents each from their brand new Web site. I downloaded this track from the Podsafe Music Network.

Copperhead Road by Steve Earle, from the Live at Montreux, 2005 CD, available from Amazon.com and the iTunes Music Store. Copperhead Road is also the title track of a superb, blistering electric album, available from both Amazon.com and the iTMS. I downloaded the acoustic solo version from the PMN.

Crooked Frame by Alejandro Escovedo, from a sanctioned bootleg, Live at The Palms (1995). Three versions of Crooked Frame appear on Alejandro's album With These Hands (2003): an electric studio version from 2003, and two live versions (one electric, the other acoustic) recorded in 1996. With These Hands, and all of Alejandro's other albums (as well as some rareties and swag) are available from the store at his site. Most of his albums are available from the iTMS and Amazon.com.

One More Time by Alejandro Escovedo, from Live at The Palms. Two electric (and very rocking) versions of One More Time are available: on Gravity (1992) and on With These Hands (recorded live at the South By Southwest Conference, 1996).

Hooked On You by Albert Collins, from Cold Snap (1986), available from Aligator Records, the iTMS and Amazon.com. This track was downloaded from the PMN.

Got The Blues In My Heart by Boo Boo Davis, from the CD Drew Mississippi forthcoming in October on Black & Tan Records. Pre-orders are possible at Amazon.com. This track downloaded from the PMN.

Mentioned on tonight's Murphy's Saloon: The Palms Playhouse.

The Blues Foundation and the Delta Blues Museum are excellent online resources for more information about the blues. Be sure to download and listen to the DBM's top-notch (and free) podcast, Uncensored History of the Blues.
