Since co-founding Ecovative Designs alongside his college classmate, Gavin McIntyre has been working to expand the incredible capacity of mycelium to grow a product that can displace the tons of waste in petroleum-based protective foams. In the 15 years since they began this project, Ecovative has continued to explore the many innovative applications of this biodegradable material.
