A SURPRISE LIVE INTERVIEW WITH KEENY ICE 🇬🇭🎤🇬🇧
What started as a surprise visit to my TikTok LIVE turned into such a beautiful and spontaneous conversation with Ghanaian rapper Keeny Ice, who is currently in London after the incredible BHIM Fest, organized by Stonebwoy.
And what a journey it has been! Keeny Ice shared some behind-the-scenes moments from BHIM Fest, including how he received his visa quite late and even ended up missing his flight. Somehow, everything still came together and he made it to London for the festival.
Now, Keeny Ice is getting ready for the next chapter of his journey, with his tour taking him to Ethiopia and Kenya. He also spoke about his annual event in Ghana, coming up in November, and what it means to him to continue building his own path as an artist.
We talked about the story behind the name Keeny Ice, his vision for his music and his desire to leave a lasting mark on music history as an artist from Ghana. For Keeny Ice, music is about creating beautiful pictures and stories through sound, music that allows people to step inside the story, feel it and connect with it.
He also opened up about his creative workflow, how he approaches writing songs and how he stays open to the constant evolution of music. While he naturally enjoys peace, quiet, and spending time by himself when he's not making music, he has learned to embrace the reality that being an artist often comes with a very different lifestyle.
And of course… we couldn't have a Keeny Ice LIVE without some FREESTYLE! 🔥🎤 He gave us several freestyle moments and even introduced another musician during the LIVE.
