In this episode of Music & Lunch, host Sean Le Marque chats with Lex Lafoy. The state of South African hip hop is getting super interesting with our female emcees getting a chance to break out and show us what they have been cooking up. And we’re not gonna front, we have the month of August to thank for this revelation. With that said, meet Lex LaFoy, the Honey Bass originator. She is a rapper, writer, performance artist and an awesomely packaged bundle of fire.

She has cemented her mark on the South African hip hop landscape and the fruits of her labour are beginning to show. She has been involved in and performed in various shows which include Red Bull Bass Camp, Poetry Africa and OppiKoppi just to name a few.

And if she has appeared on television such as Shiz Niz, YoTv, Above Ground and Drop Africa XVI.  She has also gone on a European tour with her DJ, DJ Doowap across Germany, Switzerland and Austria in the summer 2014 with Berlin based indie label Springstoff. You better put some respek on her name, she’s established.
