Happy St. Patrick’s everyone.
This week’s episode we have Mr. Craig Brooks, a.k.a. “Brooksie.” Craig is an amazing local bagpiper that has been playing, competing, and teaching bagpiping for nearly twenty years. Joe and Craig talk about the history of the bagpiping and Craig’s introduction to the instrument that became his life’s passion. They also talk about Irish history and the significance of tradition and symbolism in bagpiping. Listen until the end to hear Craig play a few sets. It was very moving and special. Amazing side note: The bagpipes that Mr. Brooks played for us at Green Door was also played at President Kennedy’s inauguration. Wow. We really hope he comes back again.
