It is a strange and wonderful, albeit slightly uncomfortable freedom to have a wide open and unpressured day. But in keeping with the New Year's resolution, this empty nest does offer the opportunity to reduce and restore. It's almost like getting a new set of eyes to fresh possibilities right where you are.
