Putting a cap on my religion series. After all is said and done, I revisit a few points and discuss how we are to approach God, and some timeless lessons I have learned from my journey. I hold that every spiritual and religious man must engage in deconstruction of what he claims to believe, take himself apart and look at it through a critical lens. It's a necessary part of spiritual growth.
This week is no holds barred as only you can expect from yours truly. I'll deliver an unflinchingly real look at the holidays and what it has become in The West. In it I share my story of how I became disillusioned with Christmas and ultimately Christianity. IS this holiday what God had in mind? Is it delivering what it promised you? Let's talk.
In our culture we all need someone to blame. We need someone to unleash our wrath upon, someone to pile all of our collective woes upon. Something terrible happens, we look for someone to accuse and blame, and we need someone to crucify.
Continuing on with my discourse on Western religion, I discuss the true nature of the Biblical church and the intent of the rabbi Jesus and his disciples, and where we went wrong in today's Christianity.
In this second part of Desperately Seeking Jesus I'll pick up where I left off last week. In this episode I relay my experiences with today's modern evangelical Christian churches and my desire to work full time in ministry, go on missions trips, the whole nine yards. I was ready willing and able....with the need of a little bit of financial help. And in this episode, I tell you what I found beneath the surface and the long painful process of me waking up to the truth about the Church and my journey into finding out who Jesus REALLY was.
I decided to give this episode two parts as I open the discussion about Jesus. I think this week's episode is perfect in light of Halloween as I am creating the platform for a rightful discussion about this man. The entire premise of my faith for many many years concerning Jesus was fear. So before I get into who Jesus is and what I believe, I first must unpack the method of belief and the monstrous consequences of having your religion based on terrifying teachings such as hell.
This week I'm going full speed into my own journey to God and the other side of the veil and what I came away with. With that I discuss strong warnings and exhortations for the Christian religion of America today. There are legitimate reasons for the outrage and hostility against America's religion. Hang on, this one is going to get bumpy.
Welcome back to Musings from Ransom's Cave. As we begin anew, I'm diving into my series on religion. Our Religion, Our Culture discusses the nature of religion, why its important, and the religious battle taking place in our world today.
This week's episode puts a cap on the ManCast series. To wrap it up I'll be discussing where we get our moral code from. We've been raised and guided by mentally ill addicts, alchoholics, sex fiends, and worse... The masculine spiritual journey is an exit from all of that. Think of this as an invitation to your spiritual exodus from the entire ideologies and morals that Hollywood and shrewd advertisers gave you. We were brainwashed. Time to wake up.
This week, I'm sounding off a bit on the chaotic socio political landscape, and the inevitable revolution as well as what's going on in Afghanistan to compare notes. Going forward, I encourage men to be disciplined of mind, body, and tongue as we navigate the turbulent and chaotic landscape that is our world.
