In a manner akin to Past Lives (2023), Celine Song skillfully portrays adult relationships with characters that are mature and realistic enough for the audience to connect with. Dakota Johnson, Chris Evans, and Pedro Pascal deliver remarkable performances. Despite often receiving criticism, which I believe is largely due to her agents, Dakota Johnson impresses in this film, proving she can be taken seriously when given the right opportunities. This role stands out for Chris Evans as he transitions from the MCU, aiming to be recognized as a more dramatic actor, and he performs exceptionally well here.
