From the age of 13 Shannon became a carer for her alcoholic mum. Learning to hide alcohol from her, Shannon talks through her life to date along with horrific accounts of caring for her mother.

The setbacks didn't stop Shannon progressing in her football life before injury ended the opportunity in the UK. Returning to the Island Shannon was a little lost with her identity, but was self aware enough to turn this around and set up a career in helping others to improve fitness and wellbeing.

Shannon talks candidly about her own mental health challenges and her belief that everyone needs to take self responsibility to look after themselves.
